Other Rittal Activities at the OCP Summit

Rack & Power Track, Room 210 BF at 1:00pm - 1:25pm: OCP 44OU Rack

The 44OU high capacity rack was designed to support a combination of network and server equipment. Two easily interchangeable configuration scenarios offer flexibility for all customers.

Speaker: Steven Moore, Project Engineer at Rittal CSM

Advanced Cooling Track, Room 210 E at 2:30pm - 2:55pm: Door HEX, LCP Hybrid and Connection on the OCP V2 Rack

Cooling is an important factor in data center facilities and racks. To reduce the density in a data center, a rear door HEX is the best solution. We will review the adaptation from the HEX to OCP rack.

Speaker: Resul Altinkilic, Product Manager Global IT Key Accounts, Rittal GmbH & Co. KG

Rack & Power Track, Room 210 BF at 3:00pm - 3:25pm: Finite Element Modeling of the 12V Power Distribution in the Open Rack Standard 2.0 - Analysis of Losses and Temperature Rise

It is still unclear within the OCP community what is the maximum current and power limit that could be delivered with the 12V busbars defined in the Open Rack Standard 2.0. Bel Power Solutions, Rittal and Circle B present a study to assess losses, voltage drop, airflow and temperature rise in different configurations reflecting existing or potential applications in the market. The study reflects the expertise of the three companies and will constitute a guideline for any company that decides to adopt an Open Rack solution. The study will address different rack configurations and IT loading. The results show the performance of a 12V rack power distribution with the current busbars and demonstrates better performance with an improved busbar design to cover more challenging applications.

Speakers: Samuel Brumhard, Product Manager - Rittal, Nicola Cinagrossi, Engineering Director - Bel Power Solutions and Menno Kortekaas, CTO - Circle B
